Among the Lost is a surreal murder mystery set during the late middle ages.  An anthology series of four short films, it is the MFA thesis film of Wesley Hunt.

A masked murderer stalks a small medieval village, bringing death to all – old or young, innocent or guilty. As the body count rises, several people try to discover the truth behind the killings:

 

     LUCIAN, a grave-robbing alchemist, who investigates while harboring a grudge against the very people he means to save.
      AMBROSE, the pious priest, who comforts his flock but believes the deaths to be God’s wrath, cleansing the earth of sinners.
      SIR MERRICK, a chivalrous knight, who arrives from afar and seeks out the killer for his own honor and glory.
      GREGOR, the town’s sheriff, who must deal not only with the killer, but with the town's increasingly panicking and paranoid citizens.
